A departure from the usual work we do, but we were flexible enough to help our client out by acting as a product owner
Situation: Client needed a product owner to run a project to build a functional app that met a list of integration and functional criteria as a proof of concept
Solution:
Acted as Product owner for building a proof-of-concept app to help the billing process and:
• Held daily standups and 2-weekly Sprint ceremonies
• Dealt with external suppliers, with responsibility for leading an internal team of 7
• Made decisions on how the app was to be built
• Prioritised the key elements of the build to satisfy the proof of concept requirements (single sign on, email integration, data base integration, internal and external user groups etc.)
• Presenting to senior management
Outcome:
When I handed the project back to the internal team, theproject was 3/4 completed with one sprint left to go
